ELY PRIDE

After the success of our previous campaign performance for Ely pride we were asked to participate in their first online event which we managed to put together in just a few days with some of our incredible dancers.

EACH FLASHMOB

4D Dance were asked to perform at the Grafton Centre in Cambridge to promote an Abba Tribute night. Everyone involved had so much fun and it was amazing to see the audience get bigger and bigger as the performance went on.

PLAY ON MUSIC VIDEO

Sara (4D principle) was the creative director and choreographer for a music video to go alongside a christmas advert, starring the amazing Evie Hart.

Beautifully captured by film maker Laurence Cook in the stunning surroundings of Ely Cathedral.

'Play On' - Written and produced by Scott McFarnon & Matty Benbrook.

Piano - performed by Willow Rivers.

Filmed and edited - Laurence Cooke.

With special thanks to Ely Cathedral.

MARKET SQUARE FLASHMOB

A fun performance 4D Dance were asked to do to promote the summer events going on in Ely for members of the community.

For this piece we used well known songs that reminded us of summer and it was great to see the Ely community get involved and support the dancers.

Summer School

WE ARE ALLIES.

This piece was a very tiny fraction of the work these incredible humans put in over summer school. The aim was to raise awareness & generate a conversation around racism; how we can prevent it & what to do if we witness it.

We discussed the meaning of BIAS, PREJUDICE & DISCRIMINATION. We talked openly about times they had heard racist things being said, whether they spoke up and if not, what had stopped them.

They learnt phrases & examples they can easily use to explain their points in case they're not feeling confident to debate with someone. We now have go-to lines to use if we aren't keen on confrontation but still want to stand up for what is right.

Easter Workshop

A project that was performed on by our incredible 4D Academy dancers - a group who are selected from the school who train separately for an extra two hours a week by principle Sara Ford. This routine was learn’t in just a few days over the Easter workshops that we run which every year and are open to all ages and levels.

Special thanks to Ely Cathedral who allowed us to use the space for filming.
