What’s EXPECTED - commitment
It is really important that all students attend every lesson, commit to learning the routine and practice at home. When the students are confident in their routine, they will be more comfortable performing on stage and enjoy the show experience so much more. We are very limited on time and we need to build on the routines every week in class.
If your child has to miss a class due to sickness (or isolation!) it is essential that they reach out to the other students in the class before the next class to learn anything they missed. This could be asking a friend to teach the routine in the playground, asking one of the other students for a recording or to post on the 4D Parents page to see if anyone can provide a video. The teachers will not have a chance to record every new section so we are asking the students to work together to help each other out.

Costumes
-
What to Bring
ALL performers need to bring a CLOTHES HANGER AND PLASTIC BAG WITH THEIR FULL NAME MARKED ON IT to the first rehearsal. This is so we can hand out all costume and make sure everyone has the correct bits. This will then be left at the venue for the duration of the week.
STUDENT'S BAGS
4D Uniform T-shirt (or white t-shirt if you don’t have one)
Named water bottle
Packed lunch and snacks
Books/quiet games for downtime
Hair brush, comb, grips, spray/gel and spare hair tie
-
Costume Essentials
All students must arrive wearing a base layer of:
black vest
black shorts
black leggings/joggers
black socks
trainers
foot thongs if needed
Older students please ensure underwear is black
ALL STUDENTS NEED A 4D T-SHIRT FOR FINALE. If you do not have one - please bring a white t-shirt.

Hair/Make-up
STUDENTS TO ARRIVE ‘SHOW READY’ WITH THE BELOW DONE. There will not be enough time to do full hair and make up before the dress rehearsal.
HAIR
Long hair is to be tied up in a high ponytail. This needs to be prominently on the crown and will need to be redone if too low. The hair should be slicked back without flyaways or loose hair around the face.
If hair does not fit into a high ponytail then the alternative is the same but as a half up ponytail.
Very short hair will need to be styled so it stays out of the student's face whilst dancing and not free to flop around.
Ely Tuesday ED & Littleport 1DX to have two high bunches, same neatness required as above.
MAKE UP
Under 13's: Younger students are not required to wear make up, if they would like to have some glitter or lipstick on (and parents are happy with this) then you can send them to the rehearsal with that. Please do not send younger students in with a box of make-up to do themselves... We could end up with the sort of disaster Sara's parents regularly saw when she was let loose on her Grannie's make up box!
13+ yrs: Make up is welcomed (but again, not obligatory) for our teens. To keep everyone fairly uniform we are restricting this to foundation, blusher, bronzer, highlighter (if you have it), mascara, simple black eyeliner, brows (if wanted), a bright/bold reddish lip colour and NO coloured eye shadow.
